New York, NY -  August 31, 2024: Michele Bundy has filed a motion to take leave of the court to file a third amended complaint in the ongoing lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe. The motion, including a proposed third amended complaint, filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, alleges a series of defamatory statements and abuse made by Sharpe that have significantly impacted Bundy's personal and professional life.

The third amended complaint includes new evidence and statements that have come to light, further substantiating  Bundy's claims of defamation, libel, slander, abuse, and emotional distress. These statements were made on various public platforms, including the Fox Sports national television show "Undisputed" and Sharpe’s YouTube channel “Nightcap.”

Bundy, a former professional colleague of Sharpe and former lover who dated him for upwards of a decade, asserts that Sharpe’s actions and public statements have led to considerable emotional and repetitional damage. The complaint details the profound psychological impact these events have had on Bundy, including experiences of trauma, anxiety, and challenges in maintaining professional status and employment.

“This lawsuit is not just about seeking justice for the personal wrongs I have endured,” says Bundy. “It’s also about standing up to public figures who misuse their platforms to spread misinformation and harm others. No one should suffer in silence while their character and integrity are being publicly maligned.”

The third amended complaint outlines a series of incidents dating back to 2002 when Bundy was assaulted by Sharpe, presenting a narrative of repeated defamation and emotional distress caused by Sharpe’s statements and behavior. It aims to hold Sharpe accountable for his actions and seeks damages for the harm caused to Bundy.
